Design 101 students studied the Eckert Herbarium's collection for inspiration and created motifs and patterns. Thirteen patterns were selected by the Buffalo State Fashion and Textile Technology Department and their Surface Design students developed garment-appropriate prints. An FSA Founder's Fund grant allowed off-campus printing of yardage. A basic scuba back, A-line garment design was chosen to highlight the prints.
'Interconnect' was accepted into the 2018 International Textile and Apparel Association Conference held in Cleveland, Ohio, this past November.
A special presentation will take place on Tuesday, February 12, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in the Upton Hall Foyer (in front of the gallery).
